Which is better vegetarian or non-vegetarian?

You might be wondering which is better, vegetarian or non-vegetarian; that’s why you came before this article. Nowadays, many celebrities and sports personalities are considering vegetarian food over non-vegetarian food, and you might be thinking about why they are doing so.

There can be many reasons why they are shifting from non-vegetarian to vegetarian, like their health issues, their religious beliefs, or any other reason, but now you might be thinking about whether you don’t have any such issues and which is better for me, vegetarian or non-vegetarian.

So let’s discuss the pros and cons of both vegetarians and non-vegetarians before you decide for yourself which is better, vegetarian or non-vegetarian.

PROS OF TAKING VEGETARIAN FOOD

1.) Vegetarian food is a more balanced (Which is better vegetarian or non-vegetarian)

Most vegetarian foods are balanced diets; they give your body the essential nutrients in the proper amount, unlike non-vegetarian foods, which contain more fat, omega-3, and protein, so non-vegetarian foods can’t supply all the nutrients in the body that are required.

On the other hand, if you eat a vegetarian diet, you will be able to supply all the essential nutrients to the body in the form of vegetables, fruits, grains, wheat, etc., so vegetarian foods are considered more balanced diets as compared to non-vegetarian foods.

2.) Vegetarian foods are good for digestion. (Which is better vegetarian or non-vegetarian)

You may feel that whenever you eat non-vegetarian food, your stomach becomes upset or the problem of indigestion occurs, but it doesn’t happen when you eat a vegetarian food because vegetarian food contains lots of fiber, which helps in the digestion of the food, whereas non-vegetarian food does not contain much fiber, and that’s why it becomes difficult to digest.

3.) reduce the risk of weight gain. (Which is better vegetarian or non-vegetarian)

According to a number of studies, vegetarians are generally healthier than non-vegetarians, vegetarians have a lower cholesterol level compared to non-vegetarians, and vegetarians also have good blood pressure compared to non-vegetarians and a good body mass index (BMI).

A vegetarian diet helps maintain a good weight, except if you eat lots of junk foods like burgers, pizza, etc., but if you are a regular non-vegetarian, you will have a higher cholesterol level because non-vegetarian foods contain lots of fat, which is not good for your body.

4.) Vegetarian food reduces the risk of heart disease. (Which is better vegetarian or non-vegetarian)

If you consume well-balanced vegetarian food that is rich in minerals, vitamins, fiber, and fewer fats, you will be less prone to heart disease because heart disease usually happens when you consume lots of fat because that fat gets settled on your veins, which will block the blood and result in heart attacks.

5.) Vegetarians are more peaceful. (Which is better vegetarian or non-vegetarian)

You may have heard this quote: What you eat, you become. So if you eat t anyone life, which contains fear, anger, and hurt, that will transfer to you as well, but if you eat fresh things like fruits and green vegetables, you will also be fresh, and your mind will be positive. And research also shows that vegetarians are more peaceful and calm compared to non-vegetarians.

CONS OF VEGETARIAN FOOD (Which is better vegetarian or non-vegetarian)

Like pros, there are also some cons to vegetarian food, so let’s take a look at the cons of vegetarian food.
1.) deficiency of vitamin B12 (Which is better vegetarian or non-vegetarian)
Vitamin B12 deficiency is common among vegetarians because vegetarian food lacks vitamin B12 because vitamin B12 is mainly found in eggs, meat, fish, etc. If anyone is suffering from vitamin B12 deficiency, he should either eat non-vegetarian food or take a vitamin B12 supplement in the form of a capsule.

2.) deficiency of protein. (Which is better vegetarian or non-vegetarian)
Another deficiency that vegetarians suffer from is the deficiency of protein. If you are vegetarian and you don’t consume enough protein, you will suffer from the deficiency of protein.

Those who are non-vegetarians don’t have to suffer from this because almost all non-vegetarian foods have a good amount of protein, whether it’s eggs, chicken, meat, or fish. So if you are vegetarian and you don’t want the deficiency of protein, you should eat the things that are rich in protein, such as beans, soy products, whole grains, nuts, and dairy.

PROS OF NON-VEGETARIAN FOOD (Which is better vegetarian or non-vegetarian)

1.) Rich in vitamin B12 (Which is better vegetarian or non-vegetarian)
Non-vegetarian foods are rich in vitamin B12, which is an essential element for our body’s growth. So every non-vegetarian food is rich in vitamin B12, whether it is meat, chicken, eggs, or fish. Each of these foods contains a sufficient amount of vitamin B12.

2.) rich in protein (Which is better vegetarian or non-vegetarian)
Another benefit of non-vegetarian food is that it is rich in protein. Every non-vegetarian food contains lots of protein. If a person is non-vegetarian, he will never suffer from a deficiency of protein, but this is not the case with vegetarian food. Not all vegetarian foods are rich in protein; there are specific foods for vegetarians that are rich in protein, like soy, beans, whole grains, nuts, and dairy products.

CONS OF NON-VEGETARIAN FOOD (Which is better vegetarian or non-vegetarian)

1.) RISK OF HEART DISEASE (Which is better vegetarian or non-vegetarian)
Non-vegetarian foods contain lots of saturated fats, which increase the rate of heart disease. Many studies show that people who are non-vegetarian are more prone to heart disease, and they have a shorter lifespan as compared to vegetarians. And non-vegetarians are also more likely to be prone to diabetes and hypertension.

The reason behind this is that non-vegetarians eat less vegetables and fruits. But if you eat non-vegetarian foods twice or three times a week and you also eat green vegetables and fruits, you don’t have to fear because you are taking all the nutrients. So this is only for the person who mostly eats meat and avoids vegetables and fruit.

2.) Risk of obesity or weight gain (Which is better vegetarian or non-vegetarian)

Because non-vegetarian foods contain lots of fat,  there is a high risk that you will suffer from obesity if you eat meat and do not eat anything to digest that meat. But if you eat meat and also do proper exercise or go to the gym, then you will be safe from obesity and weight gain, so if you don’t want to increase your body weight, you should do proper exercise. That’s why people who are vegetarians are leaner as compared to non-vegetarians. And the vegetarian also has a good body mass index (BMI).

3.) Indigestion. (Which is better vegetarian or non-vegetarian)
Many people who are non-vegetarian suffer from the problem of indigestion. You have also felt that whenever you eat non-vegetarian food, you have the problem of indigestion. When I was eating, I always had the problem of indigestion whenever I ate, so this was also one of the reasons why I became vegetarian. So if you have problems with indigestion, try skipping the non-vegetarian foods for a few days and then see the result.

4.) Lack of fiber (Which is better vegetarian or non-vegetarian)
The main reason for the indigestion of the non-vegetarian food is because it lacks fiber. Almost all the non-vegetarian food lacks fiber, and fiber is the main element that helps in digestion, but it is not the case with the vegetarian food because all the vegetarian foods contain rich fiber, which helps in digestion. So this is also one of the major cons of non-vegetarian food: it lacks fiber.

So these are all the pros and cons of being vegetarian and non-vegetarian, but it is not like that if you are vegetarian, you will be healthy, like if you are vegetarian, and you are not eating green vegetables and fruits, but instead of that, you are eating junk food like burgers and pizza, which is a more alarming situation because you will not get any nutrients in your body and you will lack many nutrients such as vitamins, proteins, etc. So if you want to be vegetarian and want to enjoy all the benefits of being vegetarian, then you should eat green vegetables and seasonal fruits, which will give you more benefits.

And in like wise, it is not also true that if you eat non-vegetarian food, then you will be unhealthy and not leaner. It is not true if you are eating non-vegetarian food and you are doing proper exercise and doing workouts to release the extra fat, and you are also consuming food that is rich in fiber. There is no such issue if you eat non-vegetarian food.

The thing is that you need to have balance, whether veg or non-vegetarian. Each one has its pros and cons, but when you are in a balanced state and do proper exercise, then it will be beneficial for your body.
Our main aim is to be fit and live longer. If you eat meat just for the taste, then it is not good. There are many alternatives to meat that are much tastier than non-vegetarian, but if you’re eating non-vegetarian to fulfill your nutrient requirements, then there is no such issue. Now the choice is yours.
